It is going so so I am no offering, but not refusing. Is this the way to go or am I just keeping him dependant? At night it is a free for all I will take night time feedings last. (he may be in Kindergarten... lol)

Posts: 1997 (01/22/09 1:45 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I didn't wean Dave in any of the normal ways (I just quit nursing one day and started pumping for him) so I don't have any experience, but I would think that if you're not offering then he will eventually get the idea...have you tried subbing in a cup or bottle or whatever at the time when you would have nursed before? Seems like the night time feeds would definitely be the last to go since there is more going on there than just food....good luck! Dave will be a big brother in February!! Amanda

With Will, I had to quit cold turkey because of meds I was on and it was very painful for me. The body tends to adjust as the baby slows their nursing down and I didn't have any pain that way.
