Ok, keep in mind that our last name is Spade. Which one of these names do you prefer?
ETA: Our last name is German, so that's why I chose the spelling of both names that I did. What should we name our new baby boy? (Result)

I picked Derek Jeffrey
However I also like Jacob Jeffrey, but I don't particularly like it with the K

Shannon, I know Jacob is the most popular spelling of an extremely popular name.
I was aiming for the German spelling, but also a bit of originality.

Jakob William is gorgeous. Of course, I have a Jacob and William in my family.
 I like the Jakob spelling too. Nicholas was thisclose to being Nikolas.

I like Jakob William and I like the K, but I like how names are spelt different.... If you call if Derek Jeffrey then he might get DJ, and Jakob Jeffrey is JJ.
At least with JW its not really a nickname....
Stacey my friends boys name is Nicholas but spelt Nikelaus, they were told its the german way.

I chose Derek Jeffrey...But I really like Derek William...as well...just to mix u up a little LOL
My dads name is also Derek, and I chose William for my DS middle name...Englands future king as well.! Can wait to see what you picked...

I like Derek Jeffrey for the initials thing (we did that with DD #1) and because it's a nice name. My cousin's name is Derek and he a wonderful guy.

Jakob William is the best one that you listed i think. And i LOVE the unique spelling
 . I spelled my daughters name Jazmin instead of Jasmine for that SAME
reason, to be unique  .
And i think that name goes best with yalls last name, im weird the 1st and middle name HAS to flow well with the last name lol Resa |

I love the name Jakob! Spelled that way too
I think it sounds really good with William too, I'm not a huge fan of both names starting with the same
letter, though it does make for the nickname J.J which I like, lol. And I think that name sounds the best with your last name That's how I veto names
off my list anyways

I voted for Derek Jeffrey LOVE the name Derek! There was a guy I went to nursing school with whose name was Derek and I totally had a crush on him and was ALL
set to ask him out until I found out his ex-gf was pregnant by him. They're married now
And of course...Dr McDreamy's first name is Derek!!

If Chessa was a boy she would have been Jacob William. I like that! I prefer it w/ a c BUT I like different names and totally understand why you'd use a K.
(My maiden name is German).
But if you REALLY want his initials to be the same as dh's and you like the name Derek, then go w/Derek Jeffrey. Does dh like this name?
